Created in 2023 by Team Captain Dylan "Dinky" Di, The Western Hawks are one of the founding teams of the South Australian Buhurt League.

 

Dinky, Team Captain of the Hawks, has competed and attained excellent results at multiple international tournaments, has represented Team Australia in the APAC Masters tournament, and has additionally captained the State team for South Australia (Warhounds AC) since its inception.

​Despite the name, the Hawks train at West Lakes, on the Inlet Reserve overlooking the scenic ocean view, and welcome members from all surrounding areas, including Grange, Henley Beach, Seaton, Findon, Albert Park, Tennyson, Largs Bay, Semaphore and beyond.
